HOUSE FACTS & RULES – For Humans & Other Visiting Species
Welcome to the farm. This little note isn’t meant to boss you around, think of it as the stuff we’d tell you over a cup of chai if we were sitting on the porch together. They’re gentle reminders, written between feeding the cows and chasing the hens off the verandah. Follow them, and you’ll fit right into the rhythm of the place, slow mornings, starry nights, and everything in between.
Arrival & Departure
We’re early risers, but check-in starts at 1 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM. Our team needs a bit of breathing room to fluff pillows and reset the magic for the next guests. If you linger past the clock, we’ll smile and then gently charge ₹1,000 every half hour.
Booking the Farm
To make it official, we ask for a 50% advance when you book. The rest can be paid two days before check-in. The rate is based on the number of folks you told us were coming. Extra guests are welcome, but they’ll need to pitch in with an additional fee.
IDs, please
The government insists we know who’s under our roof. So, every guest above 18 needs to show a valid photo ID: Aadhar, Passport, or Driving Licence all work fine.
Electricity, Mobile Network & WI-FI (When the lights decide to take a little break)
Being close to nature also means occasional village-style power cuts. Only JIO network works reliably here, and the Wi-Fi can sometimes be patchy, though we’re constantly improving it.
We do have 3–5 hours of inverter backup as well a generator on stand-by, to keep the essentials running. And if the outage lasts a little longer… maybe it’s the perfect excuse to light a candle, slow down, and share a few stories under the stars.
Cancellations
We know life happens. Trains get missed, weddings pop up, monsoons misbehave. If you cancel 21 days before check-in, your advance comes right back (except on peak dates). Cancel within 21 days, and we’ll have to keep it, think of it as the farm’s way of missing you.
The Security Blanket (Deposit)
When you arrive, we’ll take a ₹5,000 refundable deposit by UPI or bank transfer. It’s just in case something breaks, bends, or gets mysteriously sticky. If all’s well and it usually is, we’ll return it within 24 hours of check-out.
The Law of the Land
No drugs, hookahs, or firearms or loud music beyond 10pm here. This is a peace-loving patch of earth. We’re happy for you to sip a drink and watch the sunset though. Just keep it mellow.
Smoke Signals
Smoke if you must, but only outdoors. Our curtains faint easily and prefer to stay smoke-free. If you light up inside, we’ll need to summon the cleaning fairies, ₹2,000 per area for their troubles. Outside, there’s all the fresh air you could wish for. Find your tree, light up, and let the breeze be your companion.
Nature’s Neighbours
We live in nature’s neighbourhood, and she loves dropping by unannounced. A frog might burst into song from the bathroom, a gecko might wave from the wall, or a snake might slip by, keeping a respectful distance. They’ re harmless and honestly, far more polite than most city folks. We do our share of pest control, but this is still their home turf. Just keep the doors and nets closed, your shoes indoor, and let the night hum around you.
Your Valuables
This is an honest place, but it’s still wise to tuck your valuables safely away. That way, you can wander off for a nap under the mango tree without a worry.
Our Caretakers
Our cheerful team is around from 8 AM to 10 PM - always ready with a broom, a smile, and an extra cup of chai. They’ll handle the basics, but this isn’t a hotel, it’s a home that breathes a little slower. Housekeeping here is light, just enough to keep things tidy and happy
Guests & “Guests of Guests”
We adore company, just not surprises. Only the guests mentioned at the time of booking can stay. Visitors dropping by to hang or splash around aren’t allowed, sorry, it confuses the cows and the caretakers alike. If someone breaks the rules or behaves badly, we reserve the right to show them the way out (politely, of course).
